Certificate Programs

We recognize the value of continuous learning, specialization, and training that complements traditional academic pathways. Our certificate programs are crafted to signal expertise in distinct areas of dental public health. By obtaining a certification, participants not only validate their knowledge and skills, but also demonstrate a commitment to advancing oral health equity and catalyzing positive change.

Integrated Care Approaches to Veteran Oral Health

While the Veteran Oral Health Action Collaborative has concluded, the journey toward excellence in integrated care approaches to veteran oral health continues.

Rural Oral Health

The 2024 AIDPH ECHO will focus on “Navigating Rural and Tribal Oral Health Solutions Using a Community Compass.” Each monthly session will feature a didactic presentation on a specific facet of rural oral health followed by discussion of a “challenge” from the field.

Learning Collaboratives

Our Learning Collaboratives offer informal meetings centered around an overarching topic, creating a space dedicated to personal growth and collective action. These gatherings occur with routine frequency, fostering a community of continuous learning and shared ambition. While these meetings do not offer CEUs, they provide invaluable opportunities for networking, collaboration, and real-time problem-solving. Depending on the project or partner involved, some Collaboratives may be temporary, making each session a unique and enriching experience.

Fellowships

Our fellowships represent a comprehensive engagement with a dedicated curriculum topic, explored over longer terms to deepen understanding and expertise. Participants are awarded CEUs and a certificate upon completion, along with a title of “Fellow of the Academy.” This recurring tuition-based programming is designed to provide an immersive educational experience, fostering a meaningful connection to the subject matter and a strong community among peers.

“Everything that was addressed in these sessions was very real
to me. I enjoy listening to
others’ perspectives and ideas, and I think it is important to bounce these ideas off each other as the same problems exist across the country.”
