Indigenous Veterans Survey

Background

The American Institute of Dental Public Health (AIDPH) and the Southern Plains Tribal Health Board (SPTHB) are requesting participation by U.S. Indigenous veterans in a brief survey to assess oral health characteristics among this group. Through our trusted partnership and community-engaged approach, information obtained from this survey will be used to develop strategies to improve access to oral health care for Indigenous U.S. veterans. Results from this survey will be applied for direct benefit within the Indigenous community.

The Western Institutional Review Board and Indian Health Service Oklahoma City Area Office Institutional Review Board have reviewed and provided an exemption for this work.

Participation in the survey is completely voluntary. If you do not participate, you will not be penalized and it will not impact your healthcare status. If you decide to participate, you can stop responding to the survey at any time. Your responses will remain anonymous. All responses will be analyzed and reported without identifying information attached.

The University of Oklahoma Health and Sciences Center through the Oklahoma Shared Clinical and Translational Resources (OSCTR) subaward is financially supporting this work. Subaward #RS20230231-04
