Dr. Baker Harrell, Founder and Executive Director of It’s Time Texas, joined me on this week’s episode of Anecdotal Evidence to discuss his concept of radical collaboration. In its short four-year existence, It’s Time Texas has impacted more than one million Texans in 550 communities by leveraging strategic partnerships. Baker shared his ideas for how to foster what he deems a “radical and innovative” collaboration strategy that has helped his organization consider non-traditional partners.
I appreciated Baker’s humility in his desire to support the work of his partners regardless of receiving the credit. As he puts it: collaboration is not a zero-sum game. There are enough seats at the table for everyone. Good collaborators know that we all benefit from making the table bigger and pulling up more seats for new, diverse voices.
